Our Priorities

In consultation with members of the Barnardian community, the Headmaster and Governors of Barnard Castle School are currently considering ambitious future development plans to further secure the School as a leader in the provision of age 4 to 18 years education. The School is carefully considering its needs in support of its pupils in the ever-demanding 21st century.

However, as throughout our 130 year history, there remain on-going priorities as well as a wish to avoid placing the entire burden of future progress on school fees alone.

We therefore continue to seek support in the provision of pupil entrance and hardship bursaries and pupil scholarships.

We hope that you will join us – as successive generations of friends and Barnardians before you have – in showing generosity to and support of the School in the coming years and beyond.

"Making a difference isn’t always about the size of a gift - it’s more about the commitment. For some this will be through regular giving each month, for others it will be through the generosity of a larger one-off gift to our latest priorities"
